Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Can I enter just by posting a photo on SNS with the contest hashtag?

Yes, you can.
Please note, however, that entries from accounts not following the official Junjo contest account, or entries involving some violation of contest rules, are not eligible for judging.

Q. Can I enter as many times as I want?

Yes, you can submit as many photos as you like.
All photos with the contest hashtag will be eligible for judging.

Q. Are pictures of people allowed?

In order to avoid trouble from portraits that prominently feature a specific person or persons, please receive consent from the subject(s) in order to take the photo and to post it to SNS as part of our contest.

Q. Are pictures inside shops allowed?

Since there are shops that disapprove of unauthorized photography and prohibit this from a crime prevention or etiquette standpoint, please get permission before taking pictures inside shops.

Q. Will submitted photos become the property of the Junjo shopping street?

While the photographer has copyrights to his/her pictures, we will have liberty to retweet, repost, or otherwise post to our site(s) through the official Junjo Photo SNS account when announcing contest results or making other reports during the contest.
Also, you photo(s) may be used on printed material or the like.

Q. Are photos taken before the contest’s start date allowed?

In principle, the contest is soliciting new or recent photos, though pictures taken before the contest will not necessarily be ineligible.
However, please do avoid submitting any photos that have received award(s) in other contests.

Q. Is it possible to apply by posting to Facebook?

Since we cannot send messages from Facebook pages to personal accounts, these are ineligible for the contest.
